First Grade Ongoing Math – 2pm EST

2pm EST Section

In this ongoing yearly course we will work on first grade math standards.

Each week will have a specific fun theme that is sure to engage your little ones, from math with dinosaurs or sweet treats. Every lesson will be high energy with multiple opportunities to practice the math skill of the day and to participate with their classmates.

Teacher Jackie uses visuals and manipulatives to help students understand the mathematical concepts.

Given that this is a year long course the goal is for students to create an interactice math notebook. At the beginning of each 5 week session we will send over corresponding activities, we will have flip flap pages or crafts to match the lesson of the day.

Each activity will also include the lesson goal in the form of a “I can statement” EX: I can solve double digit number sentences.

PLEASE note – Little ones may need help with flip flap pages, to use our time in class wisely I ask that flip flap pages be prepped before hand for the little ones. I will post on our Instragram page – Bloomingvirtual what the page will be every Sunday before class on Tuesday.
